Almost Everything
Sashi Perera left Perth as an idealistic refugee lawyer certain she could single-handedly fix the entire world. Ten years later, she returns as a stand-up comic to comb through the rubble of her previous life. Sashi was raised in Perth via Sri Lanka, Dubai and Muscat. She worked around the world as a refugee lawyer then moved to Melbourne and started stand up comedy. In this show Sashi shares the stories of almost everything that happened in between. In 2021, she was the only Australian comedian featured on the UK Funny Women Awards ‘Ones to Watch’ list and opened for Anne Edmonds and Nazeem Hussain. She’s hot off her first split-show Good Ghouls at the 2022 Melbourne International Comedy Festival and is a former cast member of hit show ‘The Breast of the Fest’.
