The stars have aligned – These April school holidays cross over with Nature Play Week! Nature Play Week begins on April 17th, and ends on April 30th. Nature Play Week is all about embracing the outdoors and encouraging kids to spend time outside. We can’t think of a better reason to come out and explore Araluen! To kick off Nature Play Week (a little early), Freedom Fairies will be visiting the Park on Saturday, April 15th hosting a nature play craft workshop from 11am-1pm. Kids can participate for the entire length or come and go as they please, taking home their creation once complete! This event is included in general Park entry so make sure to come down and participate.
In addition to this activity, the iconic vintage train will be running for several days during Nature Play Week, including all day Saturday the 15th. Scavenger hunt packs will be available from the gatehouse on entry to get those little eyes away from phone screens! Or if they won’t be persuaded, have a go playing with our Augmented Reality filters. Scan a QR code around the Park and enter a magical world of bees, fairies, leaping frogs, and the talking tree.
The Roundhouse Cafe will be trading from 10am-1pm Wednesday-Friday and 10am-2pm on weekends, for mums and dads, and grandparents who are eager for a school holiday pick-me-up!
