Art Marx Gallery – Summer Pop Exhibition
Summer Pop – an exhibition celebrating the colours of summer. Sioux Tempestt is well known for her large scale, colourful murals around Perth, having recently completed several in the Melville City as part of their public arts program. Preferring large scale works, Art Marx Gallery is fortunate to have some of her smaller, conceptual works in our gallery for sale. Kay Wood is an active abstract artist in Perth exhibiting at places like Stala Contemporary, and has recently been accepted into an international exhibition in France. Her work is mostly around objects of memory:
“The way I work, with abstraction and the moving around and combining of certain materials and significant colours from my childhood, enables me to establish alternative readings of the structural narrative of my life” (Source: Art Presence). Artist Jeanette Dyson has been exhibiting in groups and solo exhibitions since 1982 and has regularly won awards over the 40 years for her amazing WA landscapes. She has exhibited in London, Paris and New York and we are delighted to have some of her works at Art Marx Gallery.
Similarly, for Sieglinde Battley who has been exhibiting for over 40 years, we have one of her works that has recently come out of a private collection for sale. Sieglinde is a well-known abstract artist, having exhibited with Olson, Juniper and Durack back in the 90’s. Sieglinde has exhibited internationally in Italy, France, Spain and New York
Other Perth artists in the exhibition include Ric Burkitt and resident artist Tracey-Ann Morris.
