Channel 7 Rockingham Beach Cup
Don’t miss Western Australia’s most unique beach racing carnival and a massive weekend of entertainment on Rockingham Foreshore this November 12-13th. Established in 2016 by the Rotary Club of Palm Beach Inc, the now iconic Channel 7 Rockingham Beach Cup combines two of WA’s most beloved pastimes, a day at the races and a day at the beach, surrounded by Rockingham’s natural coastal beauty.
View the beach side racing spectacle from the free Community Festival in Churchill Park, which features a family friendly entertainment throughout the weekend, including live music, the popular Fashions on the Foreshore competition on the Palm Beach Oasis stage, food and artisan markets and a family friendly Outdoor Cinema on the Saturday night.
Tickets are available for the licensed beachside area – the Palm Beach Oasis which offers an extensive range of food, beverage and entertainment options on Sunday 13th November from 12pm to 5pm.
This two-day community festival features must see beach racing on Sunday 13 November, plus something for everyone. What better opportunity for visitors to “Rediscover Rockingham”! The community festival opens on Saturday 12th November at 4.00pm with free live entertainment and a family friendly outdoor cinema experience with the movie Secretariat. Food trucks, showbags and children’s activities will keep the family entertained.
Come and join us on Sunday 13th November from 10am with artisan stalls and more entertainment as the horses thunder down beautiful pristine sand (from midday) in front of the blue waters of Cockburn Sound. Supporting the welfare of retired racehorse, The Channel 7 Rockingham Beach Cup is a social race meet for the enjoyment of the community. No betting is available and no whips are used.
All funds raised by the Channel 7 Rockingham Beach Cup go to charity, benefitting Variety, Alzheimer’s Research Foundation WA and Palm Beach Rotary community projects.
