Grandmothers for Refugees and the Western Suburbs Do-Gooders have banded together to present an afternoon of music and entertainment at Wesley Uniting Church to raise money for the Centre for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Detainees (CARAD). CARAD is a Perth charity providing emergency and financial relief for people seeking asylum who have been denied government supports or the right to work in Australia. Through CARAD, these people receive the necessities of life: food, shelter, utilities, medical and mental healthcare.

From 2pm, March 26, enjoy entertainment from:
– Jimjam, a versatile multi-instrumental vocal harmony, the group performs its arrangements of familiar songs and original compositions with unique style and joyous enthusiasm.
– Grand Handz Piano Duo, two entertaining musicians who use four hands and one piano.
– Acclaimed versatile singer, songwriter and choir director Bernard Carney.
– The WA Classical Guitar Society Orchestra, comprising a range of players from school age to those in retirement who provide fun music-making in a relaxed and social environment.

Tickets are $40 – book at tinyurl.com/concertforCARAD. Wesley Uniting Church is at 75 William Street, Perth / More details about CARAD are at www.carad.org.au.
