Cottesloe Quintets

Dynamic chamber music group, Chimera Ensemble, present quintets by Onslow and Dvorak in the glorious jarrah-lined War Memorial Hall, in the Cottesloe Civic Centre. Violinist Rebecca Glorie and cellist Melinda Forsythe are founding members of Chimera Ensemble, and are being joined by WASO principal violist Daniel Schmitt, violinist Andrea Mendham, and double bassist Giovanni Vinci, to perform String Quintet no. 20 in D minor, op.45, by one of the leading composers of the first half of the nineteenth century, French composer George Onslow. They will also perform the popular and beloved String Quintet no. 2 in G Major, op.77 by Antonín Dvorák. Tickets for the concert are $38 standard, $28 concession, $20 students and free for under 10’s, and include light refreshments.
