Republic of Fremantle has warmly welcomed Max Veenhuyzen into their distillery haven, where they will celebrate the making of Max's Limited Release Gin titled "The Stranger."

Max and the Republic will be celebrating the gin collaboration with an intimate tasting session led by Max Veenhuyzen and Republic of Fremantle’s Head Distiller, Tom Hutchings. Max and Tom are set to plunge into the captivating tale behind the creation of "The Stranger," delving deeper into the intricate process of scaling up and reimagining a gin recipe from Gin School.

The collaboration idea was first born in Gin School back in 2021. Max developed a unique recipe with our spirits expert Dhiva, using mandarin peel from his Mum’s backyard mandarin tree along with Sichuan pepper and chamomile. On the day you’ll be served up an exclusive cocktail featuring Max’s gin and be treated to a selection of Gin inspired snacks, thoughtfully curated to complement the unique ingredients found in the gin.

Don't miss out on this exclusive event where craftsmanship meets creativity. Reserve your spot now and be part of the Mandarin Gin experience unlike any other.

Ticket cost: $60pp and includes

- Refreshing Gin & Tonic on arrival

- A light lunch including mandarin oysters & beef cheek with Szechuan tea

- A standing gin tasting session featuring Max's exclusive gin recipe

- Complimentary cocktail ft. The Stranger Gin

Following the event, you can step into the Distillery Bar to join the Republic of Fremantle's Sunday Spritz Session.

All proceeds from this occasion will be directed to Chris’s Kitchen, located in O’Connor, Western Australia. This noble organization is dedicated to offering training and employment opportunities to vulnerable groups, particularly women, including refugees and immigrants, across Western Australia.
