Neighbo(u)r is a collaborative art project by 823 (founded by Perth locals Ta-ku & Ben Wright) that invited photographers from around the world to connect with people in their community.

200 participants from Bangkok to Brooklyn took part, shooting portraits of their neighbours on the same batch of expired 35mm film.
Neighbo(u)r sought to push people out of their comfort zones; to talk to strangers, shoot with intention, and embrace the flaws, beauty and serendipity of the experience.

The resulting photos and stories are being shared with the world via Neighbo(u)r Journal, galleries in Perth, Tokyo, Sydney and Auckland, and an online archive.

On Friday the 13th of September, 823 are hosting a large-scale gallery in their city warehouse to share these images with the Perth community. Featuring beers from Atomic Beer Project & food by our good friends at Hoodburger.
