Dunsborough Arts Festival, an annual community event celebrating local art and music, will return this March long weekend with much excitement and anticipation following last year’s event cancellation due to COVID restrictions. Held on the Dunsborough Foreshore from Saturday 4 March to Monday 6 March 2023, expect a jam-packed weekend with Sculptures by the Bay, two evening concerts featuring John Stringer (Saturday 4 March) and Oats Supply (Sunday 5 March), the Small Sculptures Exhibition, a Sunday art market, X Factor youth talent competition, circus, art, and drumming workshops, and to top it all off, a spectacular firework display on Sunday night.
A highlight of the weekend is Sculptures by the Bay, an impressive outdoor exhibition on the Dunsborough Foreshore and Seymour Park, and the Small Sculptures Exhibition at Christian Fletcher Gallery. Wander around the displays and vote for your favourite, with the opportunity to purchase a piece for your collection. Thanks to generous sponsors including philanthropist Dianne Laurance, and the hard-working volunteers at the Dunsborough Progress Association, this is a free weekend of arts and music for locals and holidaymakers. Since its inception in 2001 with a half-day of activities, the event is now an impressive three-day festival, an extraordinary display of support for the South West’s arts, music and culture scene.
