EnviroFEST 2023

Sustainability and conservation are in focus at EnviroFEST 2023, Whiteman Park’s flagship public conservation event. Learn about ways to improve your sustainability in the home and connect with environmental conservation in and around Perth. You’ll get to do some hands-on learning at our sustainability workshops, explore important conservation topics in our short talks, pick up an array of eco-friendly products and discover community engagement opportunities.

Our workshops program is not to be missed, with a range of great topics that cover the themes of reduce and reuse, sustainability and rewilding. Some of the sessions planned for EnviroFEST 2023 include:
– composting for small spaces
– rediscovering the ancient art of thrift
– how to become sustainably stylish and more.

EnviroFEST 2023 also focuses on wildlife protection: come along to see some of our local native wildlife up close, find out what you can do at home to help them and how you can support the conservation groups working to protect various species. You’ll see:
– what you can do to help our threatened black cockatoo species
– birds of prey and reptile displays
– a nest box building demonstration
– who Chittering Wildlife Centre have in care
– how you can support Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre and other wildlife conservation organisations, plus much more.

The kids won’t miss out either, with a dedicated Kids Eco Zone of talks and activities. They’ll also enjoy loads of eco-crafts, free face painting, a Children’s Forest trail with the bush fairies and much more! All this in a family-friendly free day out amongst the delightful bush surrounds of Whiteman Park.
