Community, dance, and live performances from Boorloo's finest Adrian Dzvuke, Bbanner and TABFamily DJs bring a slice of African diasporic joy to the FLOCK party. Afrobeats through the speakers, and Mubanga culture dancers to get you on the floor! Doors open 8pm.

ADRIAN DZVUKE

Perth-based and dubbed the “Prince of R&B/Afropop”, Adrian Dzvuke promises to make you swoon and dance. his soulful mixture of R&B, pop, and Afrobeats has been gaining fans at every show, including festival stages like Splendour In The Grass and Groovin The Moo.

BBANNER

BBanner is an Afro RnB artist based in WA. His music is a blend of afro beats, RnB and hip-hop.

TAB FAMILY

A Creative Arts Collective and Community led by the African Diaspora Folks based across the world, founded by Ayo Busari and friends. They have provided career-changing projects for themselves and their communities with their unique and inventive way of creating masterpieces and classic arts - music, literature, visual art, or performing arts.

MUBANGA CULTURE

Mubanga (From Mubanga Studios) is a Zambian born dance instructor, mentor, choreographer and Youth Worker who teaches ‘Afro-fusion’ – a unique style of African dance that blends various Cultural dance styles such as; AfroBeats (West Africa), Afrohouse (Angola), Soukouss/N’dombolo, Rhumba (Congo Bassin), Chimwemwe dance, (Zambia), currently training in Amapiano via online tutors (South Africa).

Mubanga is well known in the African Australian dance community; teaching local Afrodance classes in Perth since 2016, guest teaching in Sydney, Melbourne, Darwin and Adelaide as well as hosting and collaborating with professional international dancers and choreographers from Jamaica, Uganda, Zambia, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Netherlands, Portugal, Poland and Angola.

As a leader in the Australian/Zambian Afro dance community, Mubanga has managed and executed numerous projects and events across Australia with the most recent being Alkebulan, a successful annual event at the State Theatre Perth.

This event is part of FLOCK FESTIVAL, a 31 day showcase of WA Creativity & Culture in October 2022 in celebration of Pigeonhole's 15th Anniversary. PIGEONHOLE is a retail store established in Perth in 2007 celebrating friendship and curating beautiful things that bring joy to you and those you love.
