Gel printing is a type of mono printing used by many mixed media artists to create the materials for their pieces. The great thing about it is that it is very easy to make a gel plate yourself, with inexpensive materials. Your teacher will show you how to do this too! During the second part of the workshop, you use the prints to make a collage out of simple repeating shapes. You will find many interesting textures and patterns that you will transform in to a great piece of paper art to take home. After this workshop you will be inspired to continue creating prints for journaling, scrapbooking and whatever your crafty heart desires.
