International Plein Air Painters World Wide Paint Out

LANDSCAPE ARTISTS SET TO INVADE MANDURAH FOR THE 20th ANNUAL WORLDWIDE “Paint-Out”

10am to 2pm

Artists of all skill levels and mediums are invited to take part in this free event, as part of the 20th International Plein Air Painters Worldwide Paint Out. Mandurah’s inclusion has the support of the International Plein Air Painters, the Mandurah Plein Air Artists (Inc) and other painting enthusiasts. Some of the area’s most talented outdoor painters will bring their paint boxes and easels to Mandjar Square over these two days. During this time, artists across the globe will be simultaneously painting outdoors – or as the French would say “en plein air”.

Bring your own paints and materials, join in the fun and remember to post a photo of your painting to #ipapgreatworldwidepaintout2022. All ages are welcome and the public are encouraged to watch individual artists while they paint. Plein air is a French expression which means “in the open air”. Plein air artists seek the quality of natural light and atmosphere outdoors so their work is in direct response to the beauty they find in nature. A variety of mediums is used, from oils through to watercolours and pastels.
