Muddy Hands Festival 2023
It’s time to get Muddy!
The Muddy Hands Festival is back for 2023! On Saturday 18 November the City of Canning, in partnership with Nature Play WA, invites kids and families to come out to play at the Muddy Hands Festival at the picturesque Kent St Weir, Wilson. From 10am – 3pm, this free event encourages kids to unplug, be active and enjoy nature with a range of activities including mud play, creating nature crafts and a number of free hands-on activities.

The Muddy Hands Festival is an event to encourage children and families to enjoy playing outdoors and being among nature. Through unstructured messy play we aim to engage children’s curiosity, letting them choose their own path with immersive experiences, hands on learning and a greater understanding on how to co-exist on this planet with local flora, fauna, and the natural environment.
This free event features plenty of have a go activities aimed at children aged 1 – 15 (though of course all are welcome!)
