Nature of Being Visual Arts Exhibition
Ellis House Arts Centre in Bayswater is a vibrant hub for local artists in the Boorloo, Perth area. The current exhibition, “Nature of Being,” features works by Sarah Eve, Jan Henderson, and Kamila Waleszkiewicz, each exploring personal connections to the natural world.
Sarah Eve, inspired by her travels across Australia, uses vibrant colours and contrasting lighting to depict the ancient and ephemeral qualities of rock formations. Jan Henderson’s abstract paintings challenge conventional perspectives, inviting viewers to connect on a personal level through colour and shape.
Kamila Waleszkiewicz’s printmaking and watercolours portray birds as symbols of women’s souls, highlighting their struggles and quest for freedom.
The exhibition’s opening event is on Sunday, September 29th, from 2-4 pm, offering a free and welcoming space for the community to enjoy art, cheese, and champagne, before it runs until Octboer 13.
