For over 70 years we’ve presented cinematic stories to adventurous audiences in a venue that inspires awe, wonder and a touch of mischievousness. And 2025 is no different. Lotterywest Films is bringing the world to you with a wide-ranging program of 23 films from more than 15 countries that reflect the dynamism of today’s cinema landscape and audiences. There’ll be plenty to make you laugh, cry, think, question, rage, rejoice and talk about long after the credits roll.

This year, our festival-within-a-festival introduces special screenings sprinkled throughout the season – bringing you an even greater diversity of stories from some of the best truth tellers and mischief makers, both new and established. And of course, we’ll bring back the most loved films of the season in our final encore week.
