Perth Indoor Jungle Festival
Perth’s only festival dedicated to indoor plants is coming back to Perth City Farm this August and expects over 2000 people to stop by and grab some great new plants, along with catching some great talks and workshops from local experts. The program features a talk on cultivating rare plants, with Kristen Storebaug of Houseplant Horticulture and admin of the popular Perth Houseplant Club Facebook group. Kristin will also facilitate a community plant swap at the event, allowing attendees to connect face to face, many of whom have interacted for years in online houseplant groups.
The Festival will also feature ‘Plant Advice by Waldecks,’ with staff from the family-owned garden centre providing expert guidance to keen plant owners. They are joined by the ‘Baileys Potting Up Station,’ where attendees can bring their new plants and pots and have them expertly potted up on the spot with Baileys indoor plant specific products. 20 specialist stalls in total will be present selling plants and accessories, featuring local, small or family businesses with a focus on sustainable business practises. Food trucks, a bar and music will also be on hand, and this event will be raising money for beloved community farm that is Perth City Farm.
Happening over two days this August – 4.30-8.30pm on Friday 6th and 9am-2pm on Saturday 7th, with tickets starting from $7.50 – you can view the full program HERE.
