Rediscover Subi Oval – Free Family Fun Day

Following the launch of Optus Stadium the Subiaco Oval Stadium was demolished to make way for a new phase in Subiaco's history.

A year later in 2020, Subiaco Oval was opened to the public for the first time in decades. The re-envisioning of Subiaco Oval didn’t stop there. The public open space surrounding Subiaco Oval is now complete and transformed into a vibrant, interconnected inner-city haven that pays tribute to the rich history of the area.

To welcome the community to the revitalised public space DevelopmentWA will be hosting Rediscover Subi Oval – Free Family Fun Day. Kids rides, a bubble zone, mini golf, art and craft activities, face painting, footy games and competitions, market stalls and even the NOVA Casanovas will keep the whole family entertained.

See the new Sandover Medal Walk; retained seating and repurposed elements from the former stadium; new playgrounds and a parkour course; a football heritage walk; barbeques; landscaped native gardens and a cultural bidi; an 80m long shaded area including future changerooms, kiosk and toilets; and odes to football and stadium history scattered throughout.
