Revo Fitness 24 Hour Swim for Ocean Heroes 2024

The Revo Fitness 24 Hour Swim for Ocean Heroes – the biggest fundraising event on the charity’s calendar – is set to splash down for its fourth year running at Scarborough Beach Pool from 4pm on Friday, April 19, until 4pm on Saturday, April 20.

240 members of the community will voluntarily take to the pool in 20 teams (of 12), where they will swim, relay-style, for the entire 24 hour period, continuously. Thanks to the generosity of The City of Stirling’s Community Grants Program, Ocean Heroes will take exclusive access to Scarborough Beach Pool for the entire period. The overall goal for 2024 is to raise $175,000, with the funds to go towards the Free Events Program Ocean Heroes run around Western Australia. The money will enable Ocean Heroes to run 34 free events in WA in 2024; that will provide more than 2,500 neuro diverse individuals the opportunity to access the ocean (free) in 2024.

This huge commitment is each swimmer’s promise to their donors, with teams all motivated to raise as much money as they can for Ocean Heroes – the team that raises the most money at the end of the 24 Hour Swim will receive the coveted 24 Hour Swim Clocktower Trophy for Most Money Raised, as well as prizes (and everlasting glory!). Another trophy will go to the team that displays the best energy, or ‘Team Spirit’ Award, throughout the process.

Of course, there’s always a bit of healthy competition – Revo will acknowledge the ‘Most Laps Swum’ team (who cover the most kilometres during the 24 hours) with a six-month free membership to any Revo Fitness gym in WA – to keep them ‘swim-fit’ all year around. Last year, the winning ‘Most Laps Swum’ team covered 7 x Rottnest Channel swims in 24 hours! Revo will also donate one-month free memberships to the team that raises the most money, and the ‘Team Spirit’ winners. Throughout the swim, swimmers can cool down in the Revo Recovery Zone and enjoy massage guns, protein shakes, electrolyte drinks, mobile saunas and ice baths on site.
