A fun family friendly concert for all ages, with traditional music from Ireland and original Australian compositions.
Robert Zielinski and Manuela Centanni formed a duo in New Zealand three years ago, exploring the traditional music of Ireland and many of Robert’s original compositions inspired by the pristine Great Southern region of Western Australia’s remote south coast. They are known for their tone, their arrangements and uncanny unison playing where they explore the concept of the two instruments becoming one. They enjoy sharing their music with people from all ages and backgrounds working from the pretext that music is a universal language.
On the night Robert will also launch his long awaited The Day Dawn CD (reimagined). The Day Dawn was released in 2018, a collection of recordings over a 20 year period of Robert’s life. He has since taken this idea and added seven newly recorded tracks and five new old recordings, including some very precious ones with his mentor Mick Doherty and one with Sliabh Luachra fiddle master Paddy Jones. The tracks have been mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London and Lee Buddle’s Crank studio in North Perth to bring them to life in the most natural way possible.
