<p>Turtlenecks, trashfires and ten troubadors: <em>Vanguard Consort&#8217;s </em>first concert of 2022 is a mix of poetry and choral wizardy. A concert of vivid verses with just a dash of vibrato &#8211; <em>Vanguard Consort</em> presents a poetry slam with a twist. Our team of ten will serenade you with settings of some of our favourite texts, interwoven with (possibly) trochaic treats from Australian Instagram poet <a href="https://www.instagram.com/trashfirepoetry/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Trashfire Poetry</a>. Saturday Night Poetry will feature two world premieres. A new composition by Lydia Gardiner commissioned by <em>The Choral Collective</em> for <em>Vanguard Consort</em> and an arrangement by Stefan Pugliese. Bring your clicking fingers.</p>
