Shore Leave

Seafood lovers grab your diaries, there’s a vibrant new festival coming to Geraldton this September that’ll have you salivating with joy. Shore Leave is a four-day festival celebrating the culture, food and adventure that make WA’s coastal midwest region so unique, happening over the long weekend of September 24-27.

Shore Leave’s program is stacked with a host of delicious and fun events that will open up Geraldton to visitors and locals alike, with bustling seafood markets, marine discovery tours, foreshore feasts and the festival’s highlight event, the Abrolhos Long Table Lunch presented by Western Rock Lobster.

This once in a lifetime dining experience takes place in Turtle Bay on East Wallabi Island, where an all-inclusive premium ticket will find guests enjoying a scenic flight or boat ride out to the island, and a gourmet seafood experience, curated by talented Vasse Felix Head Chef Brendan Pratt. This will be an absolute highlight event at Shore Leave, and you can get more info/book your seat at the table HERE.

Along with the Long Table Lunch, some other Shore Leave highlights include:

Midwest Paddock To Plate

Indulge in a delicious 4-course dinner served up by popular WA chefs Brendan Pratt, Jessica Arnott, Stephen Watson and Derek Lau, celebrating the bountiful produce of the midwest region. Each course will be paired with wines and beverages, plus there’ll be live food demos and interviews with the chefs. More info/tickets HERE.

Beach Price Fish Markets

Shore Leave’s central focus will be the Beach Price Fish Markets, taking over Fisherman’s Wharf on Sunday 26 and Monday 27 September. It’ll be an opportunity to grab some fresh seafood straight off the boat, including the Western Rock Lobster Back Of Boat Lobster Sales. There’ll also be cooking demonstrations, workshops and activations, free entertainment, a pop up bar and more.

Foreshore Feast with Jessica Arnott

Geraldton’s foreshore precinct will be the place to be on the Sunday night when celebrity drink slinger Jessica Arnott (Masterchef) hosts tastings of seafood delights, festival cocktails, live music, street performers and more. More info/tickets HERE.
