Showing Pride 2023

This November, The City of Melville is Showing Pride with a series of events, author in-conversations, trivia nights, movie screenings, and panel conversations – all set to surprise, delight and celebrate Pride across the City.

Hear transgender advocate and former AFL player Danielle Laidley talk about her memoir “Don’t Look Away”, or for one night only, join Flaming Galah’s Quizmaster, Mistress Bubbles and Bonnie Darko as you challenge your trivia knowledge and learn a queer thing or two.

Come along and hear emerging authors from the LGBTQIA+ community whose stories are brought together in “An Unexpected Party”, or settle in under the stars with all your favourite darlings for a special screening of Straylian Cinema Cult classic Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
