Stitching Stories - A 10-day event exploring Tapestries of Tradition, Sustainability & Empowerment

Textile Exhibition and Special events running from the 16th-25th of August 2024 @The Fremantle Fibonacci Centre.

As part of IOTA Festival 24, The ANJELMS Project are proud to weave together two traditional stitching communities from either end of rural India; Porgai Artisans and The Stitching Project for a rare and immersive textile exhibition. This is a 10-day exhibition and event program showcasing traditional and contemporary works from both artisan groups.

Don't miss interactive workshops (learning traditional Lambadi Stitching) and movie screenings hosted by the artisans themselves (flying in from India). Your presence is invaluable in sharing this cultural exchange with our community.
