Storm the Gods & Shake the Universe
Prepare to witness our final reckoning when nature's epic cautionary tale reaches a crescendo and the curtain falls on humanity.
FORM Building a State of Creativity in partnership with The Farm Margaret River are proud to present Storm the Gods and Shake the Universe.
The exhibition title is a quote from iconic revenge tragedy Medea, by ca. 1st century playwright Seneca the Younger, with artworks comprising multimedia, performance, music, sculpture, drawing, printmaking and installation. Featuring captivating new work by South West-based artists Corey Khan and Kate Alida Mullen, Perth-based sculptor Susan Flavell (in collaboration with emerging composer Moses Kington-Walberg, dramaturge Sian Murphy and local musicians and performers), and The Farm Margaret River's international artists-in-residence Annegret Kellner and Berndnaut Smilde, this group show explores nature's ultimate revenge in response to the urgent ecological crisis facing Western Australia's South West region.
Storm the Gods and Shake the Universe is a dramatic story of retribution, chaos and tragedy - and in the end, the planet prevails.
This exhibition is the fourth in FORM’s Southern Exposure series, showcasing the talented artists and breathtaking landscapes of Western Australia’s southern regions.
