Swan River Ramblers Jazz Cruise
Led by bassplayer Pete Jeavons, the Swan River Ramblers return to the Paddlesteamer Decoy on Sunday October 20 for a lunchtime cruise featuring Adam Hall (Trumpet/Vocals), Ray Walker (Banjo) and Lachie Glover (Tenor Sax).
The band performs repertoire from a wide spectrum of styles (trad. jazz, swing, blues, bebop, gypsy jazz, latin, New Orleans style etc) combining a wealth of performance experience, with instrumental virtuosity and a keen sense of spontaneity. You can expect to hear music from greats such as Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Django Reinhardt, Sidney Bechet and George Gershwin as well an eclectic mix of contemporary tunes.
