Take an intimate, multisensory journey through the world of tea, in a WA premiere performance from emerging composer Christine Pan and Tenth Muse Initiative. Each immersive piece of music is structured to follow the physical taste profile of tea and highlights the culture and history that contributed to the popularity of its paired tea, such as Masala Chai and French Earl Grey. Hosted by tea-loving musicians, Tea Break is a fun, accessible chance to hear new music and learn fascinating tidbits on the way. Your ticket includes a cup so that you can sample the teas during the performances, if you wish, or feel free to just sit back and enjoy the music! Four Shows: Sunday 23 Jan 2pm, 3:30pm & Sunday 30 Jan 2pm, 3:30pm.

Founded in early 2020, Tenth Muse Initiative’s mission is to set a new standard for art music events in Boorloo/Perth. Through championing and platforming underrepresented musicians and creators, while providing inclusive spaces where art music is welcoming, we intend to show the importance of and demand for classical music that is engaging and relevant in the present day. We believe we can create an artistic space where everyone is supported, inspired, and included. This means advocating for composers regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, age, or disability.
