The Perth Royal Art Prize is a highly regarded competition, launching the careers of many high-profile local artists. The Perth Royal Art Prize is the only Western Australian art prize with a focus on landscape, offering a prize pool of $26,500 including $20,000 for first prize. Accompanying the main prize are the Aboriginal Art Award and Emerging Art Award, as well as two Highly Commended Awards. For the first time the Prize will be shown outside the Perth Royal Show period, providing free daily access to visit the exhibition at the Wilkinson Gallery from 2 to 10 September 2022, with ample free parking.
