Take a visit to the open-air theatre, pop up bars and scrumptious food stalls from April 19 – 22.

Perth is filled with an abundant of lush picnic areas to discover. For those who enjoy the wilderness, take a visit to John Forrest National Park where you will find barbeque and seating facilities as well as the impressive Hovea Falls and walk trails. Get your groove on

The Easter long weekend is the perfect opportunity to get out of the house for a dance and a drink or two. Tunes will also be busting out of The Camfield as they host CAKE Block Party on the same evening. And if you weren’t lucky enough to grab tickets to the sold-out Touch Bass event, tickets to attend the official after party at Villa are still available.

Plant a vegetable patch

With sunshine set to be continuing over April, the Easter long weekend gives ample opportunity to get outdoors and grow your own vege garden. Plant seeds of household favourites including basil, broccoli, garlic and tomatoes now to start building up a supply for winter. Why not try incorporating some native edible plants into your garden, including salt bush and river mint. You could also try starting a compost system!

Easter Stargazing, Gravity Discovery Centre

Nestled amongst the tranquil bush in Gingin far from city lights is the Gravity Discovery Centre and Observatory. On both Easter Saturday and Sunday nights, WA’s leading astronomer Rick Tonello and his team will guide you through the sparkly wonders of our universe. You will have the opportunity to look through world class telescopes to spot and learn about the various constellations in the night sky.

Stirling Square Market, Guildford

Set along the picturesque grounds of Stirling Square across from Guildford’s iconic shopping antique strip, the Market will be popping up on Easter Sunday from 9AM – 2PM. There will be a unique array of stalls present, including clothing, quilt and craft displays. There will also be a variety of food options available to quench the hunger caused by shopping, as well as live entertainment. And the best bit? Dogs on leashes are welcome to attend!
