Summer is here and with it of course comes plenty of Christmas cheer. And The University of Western Australia is getting into the spirit early with a free Christmas concert this Friday night. It’ll be their biggest yet, taking over the scenic surrounds of Riley Oval.

Hosted by ABC Perth’s Nadia Mitsopoulous, it’s a night for friends and family to come together, get in the festive spirit and donate to the ever-important community crisis support service, Lifeline WA.

UWA are encouraging you to bring a picnic and some chairs with pre-show entertainment kicking off at 6pm, including a craft corner for the kids, along with a special appearance from the big man himself, Santa.

In addition to the live entertainment, there’ll be food trucks and pre-show drinks courtesy of the University Club of Western Australia before the main show kicks off at 7pm.

Christmas is a time to come together with friends and family, and also to give generously, and there’ll be plenty of opportunity to help Lifeline WA via collection tins and purchasing your own Santa hat.

The event is free, make sure to register for your free tickets via THIS LINK.
