Wallabies v Springboks
Rugby World Champions Springboks are set to take on the Wallabies in Perth this August.
Optus Stadium will host the 2023 Men’s Rugby World Cup winners, South Africa’s Springboks, when they take on arch-rivals the Wallabies on Saturday 17 August, 2024 at Optus Stadium.
It will be the Springboks Optus Stadium debut, and the first time they’ve played in Perth since 2017, while the Wallabies will be making their fourth visit following the Bledisloe Cups in 2019 and 2021 and Wallabies v England test in July 2022.
The “Boks” will compete against the Wallabies twice in Australia as part of the Rugby Championship with the first match set to occur in Brisbane a week prior.
The Perth match is sure to be a fiery one, given Western Australia’s nearly 50,000-strong South African expatriate community, and South Africa’s last trip to Perth seven years ago resulting in a thrilling draw.
