WAYO the Brave - WA Youth Orchestra
Bagpipes, drums, and a massive orchestra unite in a spectacular fusion to perform some beloved Scottish-inspired classics.
In an electrifying performance, the WA Youth Orchestra join forces with the pipes and drums of the WA Police Youth Band to deliver incredible renditions of Scotland the Brave, Highland Cathedral, and the breathtaking Gael from The Last of the Mohicans. This concert also showcases soaring melodies from the blockbuster film Braveheart with James Horner’s emotionally charged For the Love of a Princess, Elgar’s iconic Pomp and Circumstance March No.1, also known as Land of Hope and Glory, as well as the captivating Hebrides Overture.
The exhilaration continues in the second half with Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony. From its majestic opening fanfare to its exultant and triumphant finale, this symphony stands as one of the most vibrant and brilliant pieces ever composed.
