Yagan Square will host their inaugural Flower Market in the precinct on Saturday 30 July, celebrating the start of the Noongar season Djilba.  From 8.00 am to 12.00 pm, the market will feature fresh blooms for sale alongside floral workshops, artisan market stalls, live music, coffee and free children’s activities. The exclusive event florist Poppy’s will be selling an array of beautiful blooms from their custom floral Combi Van in Yagan Square; choose a bunch of your choice or professional florists can design your perfect bouquet.

A Floral Workshop will run from 9.30 am (45 mins) and a Terrarium Workshop from 10.30 am (60 mins) with only 30 places available and pre-bookings required ($20 each).  A Pottery Painting workshop will run all morning on a walk-in basis at $10 per person.

Kids will able to enjoy free activities including a pop-up animal farm and mini canvases and paints to get creative with.

The carefully curated range of artisan market stalls include Hippie Kombucha (serving delicious warm mulled Kombucha), Little Sunshine Coffee Co, Colmena Pure Honey, Your Perfect Glow candles, The Gallery J, Elia Balms and Blends, Cosmic Culture, Freedom Fairies face painting, Eternel Home Décor, Aundreas Love and Co (scrunchies and accessories), Indigo Emporium, While Hugo Sleeps, and Designs by Julia.

Throughout the morning market guests will be entertained by a musical live music line-up featuring Smooch, Jeremias Sosa, Henry Clarke and Mark Turner.

The artist hosted community art wall, “Faces of Yagan Square” invites the community to leave their mark and unite with others on the day.

The Flower Market will take place against the backdrop of final weekend of the CAN’T CONTAIN MYSELF selfie-museums.  Visitors can take photos inside the kids-themed sea containers including a kids candy land with giant lollypops and a wonderland forest with oversized toadstools.
