A three-day hiking festival is coming to Esperance
Tickets have just launched for the first ever Grounded, a three-day hiking festival showcasing Esperance’s most stunning trails while supporting mental health initiatives.
Running from September 20-22, 2024, the festival features a program of hikes curated by award-winning experts The Hike Collective. Designed for everyone from beginners to experienced hikers, the program’s five hikes are inspired by the elements of Water, Fire, Earth, Air and Space – from the spectacular heights of Frenchman Peak, the lush Kepwari Wetlands or the vastness of the Great Ocean Walk.
Fancy yourself a bit of a local legend when it comes to the Esperance trails? The Hike Collective will be training up local volunteers to share their knowledge of the area.
“Our team at The Hike Collective is excited to share our passion for the trails with locals and
visitors to Esperance,” said Kate Gibson, Founder of The Hike Collective.
“We believe that everyone should have the chance to experience the transformative power of nature, and the Esperance Hiking Festival is the perfect platform for that.”

Plus, each booking with the Hike Collective will support local mental health service provider headspace Esperance, who will receive $10 from every tour sold.
As well as these elemental hikes, the crew from Off The Beaten Track have created an all-inclusive five day guided hike and immersive gourmet adventure. As well as the spectacular hikes, you’ll be treated to a scenic flight over Twilight Bay, swim with horses and savour some of the region’s most delicious produce.
Whether you’ve worked up an appetite from all those hikes or you’re a devoted foodie, any Fervor feast is a must. The acclaimed roaming restaurant will be setting up camp, collaborating with Heyscape Tiny Cabins at the Yirri Groce Olive Farm for a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience.
As if that wasn’t enticing enough, the Esperance Wildflower Festival (September 19-23) and Ravensthorpe Wildflower Festival (September 9-21) will both take place during the same spring period – so with a bit of canny timing, you can really make the most of your Golden Outback visit!
