Look, we know a beautiful walk enjoying Western Australia’s spectacular scenery is more than enough to fill ya endorphin-seeking boots…

But what if you capped it off a celebratory cold pint and parmi within the warm surrounds of one of Perth’s most beloved heritage pubs?

Well the Parkerville Tavern offers exactly that, with a bunch of delightful loop trails that’ll have you spotting babbling brooks, birdlife, wildflowers and the wonderful Hovea waterfalls when they’re flowing.

You’ve got a few options to choose from while you’re out there, including the 3km Falls Park Pub Walk, the 10km Hovea Falls Pub Walk, or the short-n-sweet 2.5km Heritage Pub Walk.

With the heavy rains this week, we reckon now’s about the peak time to really enjoy Hovea Falls along with the Falls Park Waterfall.

Along the way you’ll enjoy flowing falls, the delightful Jane Brook (pictured up top), unique views of the Swan Coastal Plain and native bushland along with an array of flora and fauna, including the region’s many kangaroos lazing about.

Head there a little closer to spring and it really comes alive with bursts of colour thanks to the wildflowers that come into bloom right through until early spring.

History buffs will also find plenty to enjoy along the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail and just around Parkerville itself, including the pub, quarries, store and more.

Shoutout to the Parkerville Tavern for the hot tip, head to their website for more info on the trails along with menu, events and more!
