Although Margaret River’s caves may be more well known, there’s a mystical cave a little closer to home – and it’s just reopened to the public after an 18 month closure.

Located within the Yanchep National Park and just an hour from the Perth CBD, the recent upgrades to Crystal Cave include a new staircase and refurbished entrance.

These recent upgrades follow the installation of a 250-metre boardwalk in 2020.

The limestone cave is home to glimmering stalactites, stalagmites and helictites, with now-resumed daily guided tours to learn about the cave’s history, the geological processes that resulted in its creation, and the creatures that live in the subterranean ecosystem.
