We’re wildly obsessed with this whacky Waikiki home
Have any of y’all watched the 1988 movie Married to the Mob?
If you haven’t, it’s a fun time – a crime comedy caper starring Michelle Pfeiffer at her peak of ’80s gloriousness, married to a sleazy mobster played by Alec Baldwin at the peak of his ’80s gloriousness, and it culminates in a wild, slapstick shootout in a Miami hotel suite, bedecked in turquoise, beach-themed decor.
Anyway, totally unrelated… Check out this Waikiki home that’s currently on the market!

The interiors give all the soft glamour of an ’80s starlet – from those gently pleated drapes to the faux camellia… Not to mention those pristine, powder blue carpets that practically blend into the panoramic views of the sparkling, turquoise waters of Warnbro Sound, just metres away. The home is called Bayview, after all!
Of course, if we’re talking glamour – you can’t beat the combination of a grand spiral staircase and soaring atrium… Particularly when paired with the heated indoor pool! You’ll be ready to entertain in a flash at one of the two adjoining wet bars, or indulging in one of the 3000 bottles from your very own temperature-controlled wine cellar.
Juxtaposing the powder blues and soft draping of the rest of the home, the study is as sleek as the deck of the Starship Enterprise!
While the interior is exciting enough, the exterior has us just as giddy! The crisp white geometry and repeated curves evoke the retro coastal glitz of Iwanoff icon Tomich House – albeit a few decades later.
