Us city slickers thing we’ve got it good, but actually – we reckon the Hills might really be where it’s at. Courtesy of our mates at Crib Creative, we’ve been able to have a peek inside this unique Hills residence.
Nestled amongst the winding, leafy roads of Gooseberry Hill is a home that really makes the most of its location, with some views that will take your breath away. I mean, need we say more? Just look at this!
You can enjoy these stunning, unimpeded views from just about any room of the house – as well as look out over the lush surrounds of the nearby Gooseberry Hill National Park. Just imagine, afternoon drinks lounging on the deck, taking in the fresh evening air.
Or your other, similarly marvellous private balcony, adjoining the adult retreat and with some pretty impressive cathedral ceilings.
Even we have to admit, doing the dishes isn’t so bad when you’ve got this view…
The kitchen itself is almost as impressive as the view; fully kitted out with swanky new Bosch appliances and a mammoth 2.7m island breakfast bar, topped with luxe Caesarstone benches. Just think how many pots and pans you can hoard with all that storage space!
Adjoining the kitchen is a huge open plan living and dining area – with enough space to entertain an army of friends. The living room is also home to one of many impressive rammed earth feature walls, inlaid with an ethanol fireplace which is perfect for those cosy winter nights.
The use of rammed earth balances out the home’s more classic features with a vibe that’s also contemporary, pared-back and timeless – while also connecting it to its landscape.
You can also see this distinctive use of rammed earth in other parts of the house, like in the chic cinema room, or the ground level patio.
Such a grand view needs a home to match, and with five bedrooms plus office and four bathrooms, this one will not disappoint. As well as that huge private balcony and a dressing room, the spacious upstairs suite boasts a luxe ensuite with a double shower, twin vanity and freestanding bath to soak the day away.
