That insane Hamptons-style estate in Toodyay is for sale!

We’re lucky enough to see plenty of impressive homes and stays in our line of work – but there are a handful that stay in our minds long after we’ve closed our browsers and shut down our laptops for the day.

One of those properties is Hamptons Farm Estate, which we’ve long-admired during its lifetime as luxury accommodation and wedding venue… But this dazzling rural estate is now up for grabs, hitting the market earlier this week.

The estate is located 20km from Toodyay, and about 90 minutes from Perth – surrounded on every side by rolling paddocks and vast horizon, it’s a truly secluded hideaway from the world.

Turn down that long gravel driveway and suddenly, like an oasis magically appearing before you: a grand Hamptons-style home, bordered by fulsome hedges of fragrant white roses.

Designed by Natalee Bowen of Indah Island, the home was originally an 1860 farmhouse, passed down for generations. Falling into disrepair, the original cottage was restored and extended with new north and south wings on either side.

Encircling the western face of both the original home and the grand wings on either side, an opulent wraparound verandah provides ample vantage points to soak up that majestic sunset – and looks across to the rather palatial pool and alfresco, complete with wood-fired pizza oven and fireplace.

The original structure at the heart of the homestead now forms four of the home’s six bedrooms – while the new, southern wing contains the spacious primary bedroom suite, a self-contained unit, plus one of the home’s plushest living areas, overlooked by one of its cosiest in the mezzanine above.

But it’s the northern wing that really has us stopped in our tracks! Seamlessly connecting to that impressive outdoor space, this wing is all about entertaining – from the kitchen and scullery with state of the art appliances to that amazingly grand living room, boasting eye-wateringly high, soaring five metre ceilings.
