The curvaceously cool Sweep House has hit the market!
If obsessing over State of Kin’s stunning homes is a crime… Well, lock us up and throw away the keys!
One of our favourites has to be the oh-so-groovy, curvaceously cool Sweep House, which we first wrote about back in February of 2023 – and we’re thrilled to report that it’s now on the market!
We were immediately captivated by the retro influences – from porthole windows evoking Australian ’80s Art Deco revival and hit and miss brickwork evoking ’60s Palm Springs glamour.
Inside, the centrepiece of the home has to be that grand white spiral staircase, its crisp serpentine form twisting past the moon-like round window and evoking the iconic twists of the Guggenheim.
Plush carpet evokes the same tonality of the travertine used throughout the home, its velveteen-like softness contrasting the polished stone’s texture.
The pared-back kitchen, overlooking the pool and backyard, is (of course) a dream – but we can now get a sneak peek into what’s hidden behind: a huge scullery and laundry, with ample space to preserve that minimalistic aesthetic!
We can also sneak a peek into some more of the home’s entertaining spaces – including not just the alfresco with a skylight encircling its mature tree, but the multiple terraces and balconies on each level of the home.

It’s not all for entertaining, though – one of those balconies attaches to the primary bedroom: a sumptuously plush retreat that also boasts a spectacular ensuite bathroom.
On the same level of the home, two more bedrooms peer out over the backyard via zigzags of windows – each with their own ensuite, too!
(We also can’t resist showing you the downstairs bathroom, tucked behind the staircase and attached to the studio/bedroom – with a more sultry, moody interpretation of the retro palette and materiality. Gorg!)
