This ’70s-Style Karrinyup House Is Oh-So Groovy
We never thought there’d be such potential for après ski here in Perth, but then we saw this house. Who’s making the fondue, baby? It’s giving us Swiss chalet, it’s giving us Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood, it’s giving us Columbo, and guess what? We love it!
Built in 1976, the home is perfect for entertainers with two large living spaces, a built in bar and a central courtyard. Can’t you picture yourself, lounging around that fireplace with friends in winter – or with a cocktail in hand, taking in the salty sea air from the balcony in the summer?
Plus, there’s that pool – just screaming for a margarita on a hot day as you sit around the built in table.
The interior is packed with plenty of amazing ’70s features, like that brown brick built in bar and feature walls, amber bottle glass windows and the kitchen’s stunning copper range.
Plus, a ’70s home wouldn’t be complete without some snazzy wallpaper – outdone only by some chevron mirror action. And check out that chandelier!

With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, there’s plenty of room for families – and it’s conveniently located on a cosy cul-de-sac, just around the corner from the schmick new Karrinyup Shopping Centre, St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School and Karrinyup Primary School, and only a short drive to Mettams Pool or Trigg Beach.
If you’re feeling the groovy vibes, you can check out the home’s listing HERE.
