The best Christmas markets around Perth in 2024

This festive season, buy less and buy better – and support local! Check out some of Perth’s most talented makers at this year’s best Christmas markets.

Brookfield Place (November 19-21)

If you’re working in the CBD, you needn’t travel far for to find some artisanal Christmas gifting! From November 19 to 21, Brookfield Place will be packed with festive cheer – not just from seasonal specials at Brookfield’s resident bars to giant gnomes and floral archways, but with a special three day Christmas market featuring a selection of artisanal and local maker stalls.

Stackwood Christmas Pop-Up (November 23)

Stackwood’s annual Christmas markets are always a must-visit each festive season, and this year’s are set to be another stunner. The one-day-only pop-up will feature an impressive, highly curated roster of returning faves and new finds – think technicolour prints by Neighbourhood Press, Maggie Johnson and Bright Press, charming ceramics by Any Clay and Deep Earth, ethical fashion by Rupa Haus and the The ANJELMS Project or stunning jewellery by Benjamin and the Moon… To name just a few!

Christmas Twilight Perth Makers Market (November 29)

Perth Makers Market are bringing plenty of festive cheer with the return of the Christmas Twilight Markets! Running from 4-9PM on November 29, the Twilight Markets will take over the Supreme Court Gardens with over 80 talented local makers, as well as tasty food truck bites, live entertainment and magical Christmas vibes.

Fremantle Arts Centre Bazaar (November 29 – December 1)

The Fremantle Arts Centre’s annual Bazaar (now in its 45th year!) really sets the bar high for what you can come to expect from a market. Perth’s premium makers come out in full force, with bespoke homewares, jewellery, clothing, and heaps more – all in the picturesque surrounds of the centre’s grounds.

Christmas Markets @ Central Park (November 29, December 4-5)

Over two lovely December days (December 4-5) head to Central Park’s lush gardens and enjoy a vibrant array of market stall holders including Christmas gifts for the whole family, artisan foods, fresh produce, food stalls, ice-cream cart, refreshments and even a personalised scented candles and bauble station. The markets run 11am-2:00pm, more info via the Central Park website.

On November 29, you can get your shopping started even earlier with the International Day of People with Disability Marketplace at Central Park, which will bring together an array of artisan stalls with jewellery, art, homewares, plants and more, all coordinated by the Microenterprise People – a local organisation that works to facilitate, promote and celebrate the employment success of people with disabilities.

Summer X Salt Christmas Beach Markets (December 7, 14, 21)

We reckon the festive season goes hand in hand with the salty season here in WA, and the Christmas edition of the epic Summer X Salt Markets will definitely tick both boxes! Shaka your way down to Clarko Reserve (just next to the Trigg foreshore) and you’ll be treated to a curated line-up of artists, designers, and tasty food trucks, all with a beach-loving (and earth-loving) ethos.

Side By Side (December 7-8)

Now this market is an absolute treat, featuring the impeccably crafted wares of Kura Studio, Kaki Studio, Do Pottery and Namu Leather Goods. A curated collection of beautiful ceramics, leather, artworks and other wares, we think you’ll find it hard to leave Side By Side empty handed. (They’ll also be serving up coffee and sandwiches by Satchmo Cafe if you’re feeling peckish!)

Boutique Christmas Markets (December 15-17)

Over three days the heart of Perth’s artistic community comes alive as local artisans join forces for a spectacular event – The Boutique Christmas Market, held within the Wilkinson Gallery in the Claremont Showgrounds. Enjoy a unique shopping experience while exploring 40+ market stalls featuring skincare, homewares, jewellery, florals, decorations, books, wooden toys, hand-poured candles and more. The best part? Perth Hills Artisan Markets (December 14-15)

Perth Hills Artisan Markets is the perfect introduction to all the delights on offer in the Hills and their beautiful surrounds. The markets take place every other month, but the 14th and 15th of December sees its jam-packed Christmas incarnation, with local artisans making everything from stunning jewellery or homemade condiments to handcrafted kids toys – the perfect opportunity to grab all those last minute Christmas gifts you nearly forgot about!
