Dive into the Port City’s vibrant design landscape with the return of Fremantle Design Week for the second edition of the festival.

Running from October 18 to 25, the city will transform with over 50 events celebrating design across a range of disciplines – from talks with some of Western Australia’s most celebrated architects and urban designers, exhibitions by acclaimed local artists, open studios with talented makers, and even WA-first live performances.

Based out of the festival’s hub at PS Art Space, the program is centred around the theme of transition, asking audiences to consider what a healthy, positive future for our world looks like.

“Our program is thoughtfully curated to engage, provoke, and captivate and feature things that people will find useful and relevant in their own lives, said Fremantle Design Week and DesignFreo Creative Director, Pippa Hurst.

“Fremantle Design Week is driven by a strong belief that good design is for everyone. The festival has something for all – we’ve got a fashion catwalk show, a PechaKutcha night, an incredibly good design film festival and a hands-on kids’ workshop. It’s a celebration where anyone can find their spark of inspiration.”

“We hope visitors will fall in love with the work of local designers and makers, and some international names they haven’t heard of before; learn something new, and leave feeling energised.”
