Where to play padel with your pals around Perth
Alongside saunas and ice baths, it seems like padel is catching on very quickly as Perth’s hottest new trend for ways to hang out with your friends that isn’t the pub.
Not that it’s necessarily brand new (padel first opened in Perth at Reabold Tennis Club in 2020), but we get the feeling you’re going to be seeing plenty more padel clubs around the place very soon.
And why not? ‘Like tennis but make it smaller and more social’ is a winning combo if you ask us, and if you’re in the same boat here’s where you can get amongst it:
Play Padel Reabold
The OG padel club in Perth, twin sisters Silvia & Vanesa Gonzalez-Quinones brought the game with them from Spain where it’s been hugely popular for decades. Opening up three outdoor courts at Floreat Tennis Club in 2020, you don’t need a membership to play, just head to their website and book ahead. They’ve also got different leagues and competitions if you do want to get a little more serious, though in general there’s a heavy focus on having fun and getting active while you do it.

Padel West Melville
Another duo inspired by playing padel overseas, founders Ashwin Sharma and Zach Itzstein took a break from tennis tournaments in France to play some padel and were immediately hooked. After an intensive search for the perfect home, they now have two courts at Melville Tennis Centre, available to book for as little as $10 per person. The courts are fabricated by European padel specialists, and can are available to hire from 7am-10pm, with social sessions and memberships also available.
Cnr Canning Highway and Stock Road, Melville
West Coast Padel Dalkeith
Literally just opening this week, West Coast Padel is located at the Dalkeith Nedlands Bowls Club and has three courts to book. If you’re reading this before October 5 or 12 and are interested in giving it a go, they’re hosting free come and try sessions on those Saturday mornings. Otherwise the courts are available to book from 6am through til 10pm.

The Padel Retreat Swan Valley (Coming soon)
Padel is already headed out to the Swan Valley (soon), with this brand new single court The Padel Retreat. It looks like it’s going to be located at the Swan Valley Retreat & Spa and specifically designed for the social element as much as the sporting aspect. A spa and padel day in the valley with your pals? Sign us up.
79 Irwin Street, Henley Brook
Beach Tennis Scarborough
Not quite padel but offering a similar experience is the Beach Tennis WA courts at the Scarborough Sport and Community Club. The courts are a little bigger (roughly the size of a beach volleyball court), it’s played on sand, and it’s a whole lotta fun in the sun. There are six courts available at the Scarborough location, but they also host Beach Tennis days at City Beach – check their Instagram for upcoming dates.
