One of Perth’s most beloved locations has launched a unique new wellness experience.

As of today you can now book a Zen at the Zoo tour, run by the experienced West Aussie tour operator (and regular Perth is OK! contributor), The Hike Collective, offering an opportunity to combine wellness and nature in spectacular new ways.

Helping people ground in – and connect to – nature, guests will have access to the Zoo in the quieter early hours, walk through the Rainforest Retreat, take a guided a yoga and breathwork experience before a final stroll through the African Savannah.

“We’re delighted to launch this new experience at Perth Zoo,” said Hike Collective owner/operater Kate Gibson, pictured below.

“The zoo is an icon in Perth, from the beautiful souls of the animals, to the incredible natural diversity on show, so to be able to flow and unwind surrounded by nature is going to be a magic experience.”

Gibson says the new experience will offer a memorable experience and experience one of Perth’s most popular tourist destinations in a new way.

“Our goal is to connect people with nature and allow them to experience our incredible outdoors in truly memorable ways. And what’s more memorable than doing yoga in the tranquillity of the Zoo before it opens!”

Danielle Henry from Perth Zoo said the zoo was excited to offer a new tour, and help guests find new ways to enjoy the location.

“Perth Zoo has long been a place for people to escape the hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature,” she said. “This new wellness experience will provide even more opportunity for our community to unwind and relax amongst wildlife and our stunning botanical gardens.”

The tour kicks off at 7am and is available to book now, with the first edition of Zen at the Zoo taking place on October 5.
