Tattoos – we love ‘em, you love ‘em.

They’re also forever, so you wanna make sure you’re getting inked by the best in the biz. We hit up a few of our faves to find out where the best tattoo studios are around Perth, and these are the results:

Love Drunk Tattoos

Probably the newest kid on this block full of cool kids, Love Drunk Tattoos is right next door to Wines of While at top of Northbridge. In a very short space of time it’s already crafted a relaxing, warm and welcoming aesthetic filled with plants, beautiful art and beautifully talented people. Pro-tip: Book an arvo appointment as the sun comes in through the front windows!

KuriKara Fudo Tattoo

Tucked away in a little shop down in South Lake, you can’t miss the epic gold leaf signage out front of KuriKara Fudo Tattoo. The same attention to detail of their shop front can be find inside, where you’ll find some of Perth’s finest tattoo artists rotating through the space. Hit their Instagram then follow up with artists directly to make a booking, and if you’re serious about lots of ink, they specialise in full body tattoos.

The Painted Lady Tattoo Studio

The Painted Lady Tattoo Studio is another relatively new space (founded late in 2022) by Heather Bradly, Jazmin Winters and Raya Urbano, a trio of experienced and talented artists dedicated to making the tattoo industry a safe space. Drawing on previous experiences and power imbalances within the industry, their attitude is reflected in the incredibly welcoming environment of the studio, one that also embraces their individuality and bringing “their own freak show circus” to life in Freo.

53 Pakenham Street, Fremantle

No Man’s Land

A recurring theme for this list will be studios offering relaxed, welcoming vibes to ensure what can be a painful experience is as comfortable as possible, and No Man’s Land offers exactly that. They’ve got a bunch of peeps who rotate through along with a few residences holding it down.

Market Place Tattoo

A lovely private studio in Walyalup/Fremantle – check the full list of artists on their Instagram to get a feel of the vibe, and make sure to contact them directly to book!
