A Studio Ghibli 35mm Film Festival is coming to Perth in November!
We’re fortunate to have some great film festivals happen around town throughout the year, and this November comes a one-of-a-kind festival we think plenty of you are going to be excited about!
Presented by Preston St Arts Collective and new film-screening theatre Revival House Perth, the Studio Ghibli 35mm Film Festival will showcase 15 film from the legendary Japanese animation house, all presented on 35mm!

It’s running from November 21-December 8 at the Como Theatre (and tickets are gone on sale today), presenting the films about as authentically as possible – on 35mm film, in their original Japanese language with English subtitles (with select dubbed screenings also available).
From Hayao Miyazaki’s timeless masterpieces like My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away to beloved favourites like Ponyo, Princess Mononoke and Howl’s Moving Castle, the lineup is a treasure trove of imaginative storytelling that appeals to both young and old.

“Studio Ghibli’s films have touched hearts around the world, and we want to give Perth audiences a chance to experience them in the most authentic and immersive way possible on 35mm Film.”
