There’s no reason your whole tribe can’t look stylish – we’ve found nine local kids and baby wear designers who are creating the most adorable (and useful!) clothes for your little ones.
Frustrated trying to find gender neutral, basic children’s clothing, Mini Marley‘s founder Rebecca Jobson set out to create some herself. Perfect for the mini-minimalist, the designs are stylish and timeless, as well as sustainably and ethically hand made.
Hubble + Duke
Just because they’re functional, it doesn’t mean they can’t be stylish! Hubble + Duke‘s clothing and footwear embodies a commitment to quality, with natural rubber gumboots in the perfect muted neutrals, metallic leather moccasins hand crafted in their Fremantle studio, or the most adorable ruffled rompers.
Kit & Kate
If your little one is on the move, Kit & Kate‘s soft-soled shoes are perfect for tiny feet learning to walk. Designed according to podiatrist recommendations, their non-slip pads help mimic the feeling of bare feet while still providing protection. Plus, they’re super cute, of course!
Aster & Oak
Made from the purest 100% GOTS certified organic cotton, Aster & Oak‘s clothing is super soft on your bub’s skin. Plus, they’re adorned with charming nature-inspired prints– designed and hand illustrated in-house and unique to each season’s collection.
Tiny Keeper‘s bespoke cardigans might be the cutest things we’ve ever seen. Hand knitted in Perth, they are customised with your little one’s name or initial, embroidered onto the knit with a complimentarily coloured wool. If you’ve already got a knit that you think would be perfect, you can also supply your own to be customised.
We’re all about the minimalist, restrained aesthetic, but sometimes you just need a fun party dress! Oui Babe first began in Tasmania, but they’ve since made the move to the sunny shores of WA – and they’ve brought some very fun flower girl frocks with them.
Monty & Olive
Beginning as a community for mums to support each other, Monty & Olive is all about cheering parents on and helping them thrive. As part of this ethos, they have expanded their offerings to include those items they found they just couldn’t live without – perfect beanies and socks in every colour of the rainbow, oh-so-soft organic cotton muslin wraps, or silicone bibs to make dinnertime cleanup that little bit easier.
Recently-launched, Enid‘s baby wear is thoughtfully designed and made to last. Carefully crafted out of cotton and linens in small batches, their store features practical reversible bonnets, cute rompers and even the sweetest ruffled dresses.
Velvet & Honey
Velvet & Honey is like your dream, one-stop-shop for everything cute you need for your bubba. Stocking a huge number of international brands, they’ve got everything from tights to trikes, blankets and bibs… all in the loveliest palettes and prints, too! Not only that, they’ve got their own line of kids and baby wear, made to order in Australia from premium Liberty fabrics.
Designed by two WA mums, Tiny Trove is dressing some almost intimidatingly stylish bubs around town. Matching tracksuit sets will have your little one looking like a real fashionista – but don’t worry, they’ve got grown-up sized versions, too!
