Harriette Gordon

These “romantic renegades” offer a collection of hand-made gowns, and for those who want the freedom to mix and match, a selection of separates. Pick from their selection of finely hand crafted tops, skirts and pants to create your perfect combo to suit your style and figure – it’s a win for any bride with a refined aesthetic sensibility who is open to less traditional styles. While their atelier has moved to Melbourne, they’ve maintained their Perth presence with their Fremantle showroom.

Paula and Jo

Custom designers and dressmakers Paula and Jo combine the benefits of mixing and matching styles with years of experience gown-making. Rachel Rose Bridal

Some of the prettiest dresses in Perth, Bridal by Aubrey Rose has been getting rave reviews from brides since it opened almost ten years ago; not just for their dresses, but for their friendly, inclusive vibes. Given their success, it’s only natural that Rachel Rose would offer her own collection of gowns – and her label has grown exponentially since its inception in 2019 into a global brand. We’re obsessed with her dreamy designs, but even more obsessed with her commitment to inclusivity – with just about every dress available in sizes 4-30. Bridal By Aubrey Rose are also currently stocking another stellar Perth-based designer, Jonté, who has been branching into bridal wear with tremendous success.

Maevana

Maevana‘s gowns manage to balance all our favourite qualities – delicate yet bold, ethereal yet modern. Designer Mae creates custom gowns (as well as ready to wear dresses, separates and veils) that are carefully considered “from seam to sash”. You’ll find hints of a 60’s shift, a whisper of an ’80s puff sleeve, or a ’70s gather… but always with a contemporary point of view.

ILKA

For the past decade, ILKA has been at the forefront of sustainable fashion in Perth – with uncomplicated, inclusive wearability at the centre of their design ethos. After the shuttering of their retail space, the brand has pivoted their focus towards fashion consulting, and their bridesmaids label Rosa (launched in 2019), has taken on a life of its own. At the start of 2022 they also launched their first ever bridal collection: a retrospective of their decade-long partnership, wearability and sustainability remains at the forefront of their designs. Made-to-order pieces are available from sizes 6 to 24 – a lot of brands like to talk inclusivity, but ILKA really walks the walk, and we love to see it!

Luxury evening wear label Natalie Rolt has built a fervent following with their sensual, minimalistic designs and decidedly contemporary aesthetic. Applying that effortless, confident and restrained approach to bridal garments, these are dresses for a bride that isn’t afraid to keep things both simple and sexy.

With decades of experience under her belt, Louise Nuku is a master at crafting wedding gowns with couture details – finding the balance between a range of stunning existing gowns and endless bespoke options.
