Four WA Bakeries Have Been Awarded Australia’s Best Pie!
It was merely a year ago that we were reeling with the discovery of the massive competition for Australia’s best pies called The Great Aussie Pie Comp.
Our bad though – established way back in 1989, it’s the ultimate crowning glory for Australia’s best pie purveyors.
This year’s winners have been officially crowned, and four WA bakeries have taken major accolades. In the best Plain Meat Pie category, Four Seasons Patisserie in High Wycombe was named runner up. Mount Barker Country Baker managed to get the top award for Slow Cooked BBQ Pie with their jalapeño and smokey pork number, while Jack’s Bakery of Mandurah took out the Vegetarian/Vegan Pie category.
Sweets were also represented, with the Greenfields outpost of Miami Bakehouse winning the award for Best Apple Pie with their Country Apple & Raspberry Pie.
